About the founder

Chris Deitrick, operator

I’ve spent my career in tech, serving verticals I (originally) knew nothing about. That’s given me a knack for understanding users and customers whose jobs vastly differed from anything I knew.

I started in customer-facing roles, working at Epic with cardiology software and hardware for massive IT implementation projects. I organized teams as big as 40 on projects where delays meant losing $10M per week.

I went to a start-up in construction tech and helped them define and grow their professional services teams, across all touchpoints from sales to support. We were acquired by Procore, and I helped integrate the startup into the buyer.

After that, I learned how to invent for customers across a variety of R&D projects. I always worked with new teams, so I would help solve the ‘what’ and the ‘how’ of delivering new experiences for customers.

Those experiences showed me the gold-standard of operating vertical software teams. Along the way, I learned the nuts-and-bolts of finance and management with an MBA at Columbia. I currently live in New York City with my partner and her (our) pup.

I grew up outside Richmond, Virginia with a single mother who taught me all I needed to know about empowerment and compassion.
